Deck overview

This Golgari deck is built around Rendmaw, Creaking Nest, turning the multiplayer dynamic on its head by flooding the board with goaded 2/2 flying Bird tokens. By running over 40 cards with two or more card types—spanning artifact creatures, enchantment creatures, and artifact lands—the deck triggers Rendmaw repeatedly to generate an escalating airborne army for every player. Because these tokens are permanently goaded and cannot attack you, opponents are forced into bloody combat rotations with each other. The deck leverages this attrition with death-trigger engines like Morbid Opportunist and Deathreap Ritual, while punishing opposing token counts with Pygmy Kavu and Massacre Wurm. When the board is sufficiently flooded, asymmetric finishers like Coat of Arms or Overrun turn the goaded flock into overwhelming lethal damage, leaving you to finish off whatever bruised opponent survives.
