Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Voltron Control strategy commanded by Dragonlord Ojutai. The main plan is to accelerate into Ojutai on turn 4 or 5 and equip it with members of the Sword cycle, such as Sword of Feast and Famine and Sword of Fire and Ice. By using vigilance effects from Brave the Sands or Haunted Cloak, Ojutai remains untapped and permanently hexproof while attacking. Connecting in combat generates card selection through Ojutai's Anticipate trigger while applying heavy commander damage. A color-manipulation subtheme with Painter's Servant, Blind Seer, and Eight-and-a-Half-Tails allows the deck to exploit protection mechanics, turn opposing spells into favorable colors, and execute asymmetric wipes using Wash Out. The deck controls the game with efficient white and blue removal while methodically eliminating opponents one by one.
