Deck overview

This mono-black deck is helmed by Olinda the Oblivious, piloting an unconventional group-slug strategy focused on forced creature gifting and persistent odor counters. Olinda requires opposing creatures to target with her entry and attack triggers. To ensure opponents always control targets, the list incorporates gifting engines like Genesis Chamber, Forbidden Orchard, Slaughter Specialist, and Akroan Horse. Once distributed, odor counters bleed each opponent for 2 life per creature during their upkeeps, an effect that lingers even if Olinda dies. To accelerate this attrition into lethal pressure, the deck deploys end-step doublers like Wound Reflection and Archfiend of Despair, as well as trigger doublers such as Panharmonicon and Roaming Throne. A deep suite of single-mana undying instants guarantees that Olinda continually re-enters the battlefield, refreshing her triggers while bypassing opposing destruction.
