Vilis, Broker of Blood by Vader

Format: Commander

Commander: Vilis, Broker of Blood

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a high-power mono-black life-payment combo deck helmed by Vilis, Broker of Blood. The core plan converts life loss into overwhelming card advantage via Vilis's trigger, then closes through classic lifegain-drain loops (Exquisite Blood + Sanguine Bond/Vito, Thorn of the Dusk Rose), raw draw-payoffs (Peer into the Abyss, Ad Nauseam, Psychosis Crawler), and devotion drains (Gray Merchant of Asphodel). Dense black tutors, rituals, and K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth accelerate assembly, while a deep instant-speed removal suite and free interaction keep the table honest. Secondary angles include aristocrat drains (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Sephiroth, Fabled SOLDIER) and Repay in Kind as a life-total equalizer. The deck plays as a resilient, tutor-driven combo machine that weaponizes its own life total.
