Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius spellslinger tempo deck led by Zethi, Arcane Blademaster. The strategy focuses on filling the graveyard early with cheap cantrips, combat tricks, and spot removal. Once Zethi enters the battlefield with multikicker, she exiles these key instants with kick counters. Each time Zethi attacks, she copies and allows you to recast all exiled spells, generating continuous card flow, recurring protection, and repeatable removal. This spell velocity feeds powerful magecraft and prowess payoffs such as Leonin Lightscribe, Monastery Mentor, Archmage Emeritus, and Talrand, Sky Summoner. While the deck lacks counterspells to contest noncreature combo spells on the stack, it excels at protecting its own board with cheap defensive tricks like Loran's Escape and Boon of Safety. It closes games by overrunning opponents with an unblockable commander, a flying token army, or a decisive alpha strike powered by Akroma's Will.
