Deck overview

This deck is a five-color Spellslinger Storm strategy built around Codie, Ravenous Codex and creatures featuring the Prepare mechanic. The deck accelerates in the opening turns with multi-color dorks like Bloom Tender and land-ramp spells, enabling Codie to hit the board on Turn 3 or 4. Once assembled, Codie copies any prepared spell cast from outside the hand. Payoffs like Storm-Kiln Artist, Vega, the Watcher, and Archmage Emeritus convert these copied spells into massive bursts of mana and card draw. The primary win line initiates on Turn 5 by chaining copied rituals such as Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song into Emeritus of Woe // Demonic Tutor, finding Professor Onyx and Stensian Sanguinist // Exsanguinate to drain the entire table in a single turn.
