Deck overview

This deck is a big-mana Izzet spellslinger strategy led by Zaffai, Thunder Conductor. The core game plan focuses on ramping during the early turns, establishing Magecraft multipliers like Harmonic Prodigy and Veyran, Voice of Duality, and casting high-mana-value instants and sorceries (mana value 5 or greater). Each expensive spell triggers Zaffai to scry and create 4/4 Elemental creature tokens, while spells with mana value 10 or greater add 10 random burn damage. The deck accumulates an overwhelming board of 4/4 Elementals and Constructs from Metallurgic Summonings, while building toward explosive finishers such as Crackle with Power, Apex of Power, and Arcane Bombardment. Because it lacks fast mana and dedicated tutors, the deck operates at a deliberate mid-game pace, relying on scry selection and burst ramp like Mana Geyser and Storm-Kiln Artist to close out games across two to three combat cycles.
