Deck overview

This deck is a Mono-Red Dragon Tribal build commanded by Lathliss, Dragon Queen. The primary game plan focuses on deploying early ramp and Dragon cost reducers, resolving Lathliss on Turn 5, and rapidly overwhelming opponents with a swarm of massive flying Dragons. Every subsequent nontoken Dragon cast doubles in value by creating an additional 5/5 Dragon token, triggering potent enter-the-battlefield damage effects from Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas. The deck applies critical pressure on Turn 6 and reliably closes the game by Turn 8 through wide aerial attacks amplified by double strike from Terror of Mount Velus or exponential token growth from Utvara Hellkite. While the deck possesses explosive combat potential, high creature density, and resilient standalone threats, it suffers from limited stack interaction, thin defensive protection, and vulnerability to board wipes. Careful sequencing of haste enablers and selective deployment of high-cost Dragons ensure consistent performance across mid-power casual tables.
