Deck overview

This is a Grixis crime-value midrange combo deck helmed by Marchesa, Dealer of Death. Every spell that targets an opponent, their permanents, or their graveyard is a crime, and Marchesa converts those crimes into a cheap looting engine that both fills the hand and stocks the graveyard. The primary win conditions are classic Niv-Mizzet, Parun / Niv-Mizzet, the Firemind + draw-aura loops (Curiosity, Tandem Lookout) and a low-to-the-ground Forsaken Miner sacrifice loop with Goblin Bombardment or Altar of Dementia. A dense instant/sorcery package, reanimation (Animate Dead, Victimize, Buried Alive), and recursion engines (Kess, Dissident Mage, Past in Flames, Cormela, Glamour Thief) keep the deck grinding until a combo lands. Secondary pressure comes from crime payoffs like Magda, the Hoardmaster and Kaervek, the Punisher. The deck plays interactive, digs constantly, and wins through assembled two-card loops rather than combat.
