Format: Commander

Commander: Mendicant Core, Guidelight

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Mendicant Core, Guidelight leads an Azorius artifact-token swarm and go-tall beatdown strategy. Early turns deploy cheap mana rocks, utility artifacts, and engine pieces to build your board count. Once Mendicant Core is in play, it attacks for lethal damage scaled to your artifact count, or enables explosive value when you reach max speed to duplicate artifact spells for one mana. You win the game by converting massive board states into unblockable commander strikes, growing lethal threats like Kappa Cannoneer, overwhelming opponents with Thopter swarms buffed by Steel Overseer, or animating noncreature boards using Cyberdrive Awakener.
