Deck overview

This mono-black aristocrats deck is piloted by Fumulus, the Infestation, turning symmetrical sacrifice effects into asymmetric token generation and life drain. The primary plan accelerates Fumulus onto the battlefield on Turn 3 using 2-mana artifacts or creature dorks. On Turn 4, casting an edict creature like Accursed Marauder or Plaguecrafter forces each player to sacrifice a nontoken creature, creating a swarm of flying Insect tokens while dismantling opposing creature boards. From Turn 5 onward, the deck attacks with flying tokens to trigger Fumulus's drain ability, combining combat damage and life loss to eliminate opponents by Turn 8. High functional redundancy across 18 sacrifice effects and robust draw engines like Skullclamp and Yawgmoth, Thran Physician provide strong consistency and recovery, though the strategy remains vulnerable to board wipes and noncreature combo strategies.
