Deck overview

This mono-green stompy deck is built to maximize mana-to-power efficiency to cast Ghalta, Primal Hunger ahead of curve. The early turns prioritize 1-mana and 2-mana ramp into aggressively statted creatures such as Steel Leaf Champion, Pugnacious Hammerskull, and Rhonas the Indomitable. These creatures quickly accumulate the 10+ total power required to reduce Ghalta's casting cost to just two green mana as early as Turn 4. Once Ghalta enters, power-matters draw engines like Garruk's Uprising, Elemental Bond, and Rishkar's Expertise replenish resources while large tramplers pressure life totals. Finishers like Overwhelming Stampede and Unnatural Growth convert the wide, tall board into lethal damage across all opponents. Although the deck relies on combat and has minimal stack interaction, its dense redundancy of heavy threats allows it to rebuild quickly after disruption.
