Deck overview

Helmed by Etali, Primal Conqueror, this Gruul deck is a turbo-ramp cascade list that wants to resolve its 7-mana commander as early as turn 4 and turn his ETB into a game-ending chain. Roughly eighteen mana producers - dorks, Nature's Lore/Three Visits/Skyshroud Claim, rituals, and Nykthos, Shrine to Nyx - pay the setup tax, while a copy suite (Flameshadow Conjuring, Molten Duplication, Twinflame, Heat Shimmer, Jaxis, the Troublemaker, Cursed Mirror) re-fires the exile-cascade trigger for enormous free value. The back face, Etali, Primal Sickness, is the primary closer: an 11/11 indestructible poison threat that Xenagos, God of Revels can turn into a one-shot 22-poison kill, with Aggravated Assault chaining combats to take out the whole table in a single turn. Backup wins include infinite hasty tokens off Dualcaster Mage plus a cheap copy spell, all searchable through a deep green/red tutor suite.
