Deck overview

This Orzhov deck converts life into cards, mana, and game-ending damage under the leadership of Verrak, Warped Sengir. Verrak doubles non-mana activated abilities that require life payments, turning fetchlands into double-land ramp and multiplying card draws from Erebos, God of the Dead and Arguel's Blood Fast. The deck builds mana rapidly through rituals, Lotho, Corrupt Shirriff, and K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to cast Bolas's Citadel. Once Citadel resolves, it digs through the library with Sensei's Divining Top, gaining massive life through Aetherflux Reservoir or resetting its life pool with Children of Korlis to eliminate the table with 50-damage lasers. Backed by proactive protection like Grand Abolisher and Silence, and loaded with efficient removal like Swords to Plowshares and Deadly Rollick, the deck smoothly transitions from life-spending resource generation into a decisive same-turn kill.
