Deck overview

The Kingpin of Crime commands an Orzhov midrange deck that blends Marvel-themed Hero and Villain creature synergies with a toughness-matters combat strategy. The deck's primary objective is to deploy resilient creatures with high toughness—such as Hawkeye, Clint Barton, Invisible Woman, Sue Storm, and S.H.I.E.L.D. Helicarrier—and convert their defensive stats into offensive power through Kingpin's combat trigger. By paying 2 life when attacking, your creatures assign combat damage equal to their toughness rather than their power, allowing cheap, sturdy blockers to hit like massive beaters. Incremental life drain from Kingpin's extort keyword, Doom Reigns Supreme, and Crossbones, Malicious Mercenary offsets your life payments and steadily pressures opponents. The deck relies on fair combat damage, selective single-target removal, and tribal synergies to wear down the table over multiple combat steps. Without fast mana acceleration or infinite combos, it operates as an honest combat-focused engine that thrives on favorable combat math and steady board presence.
