Deck overview

This deck is a Jund -1/-1 counter midrange engine commanded by Auntie Ool, Cursewretch. The strategy focuses on distributing -1/-1 counters across both friendly and opposing boards to simultaneously draw cards, drain opponent life totals, and suppress opposing creatures. Early turns focus on establishing mana fixing and functional enablers like Channeler Initiate and Devoted Druid. By Turn 4, Auntie Ool, Cursewretch enters play to turn subsequent counter placements into reliable card advantage and chip damage. The midgame locks down opposing aggression with Kulrath Knight and mass wither effects like Everlasting Torment, Carnifex Demon, and Soul Snuffers. The endgame closes out opponents around Turn 9 using wide token swarms generated by Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Flourishing Defenses, recursive creature theft with Necroskitter, or the infinite death loop formed by Blowfly Infestation and Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons.
