Deck overview

This Orzhov Aristocrats deck is commanded by Teysa Karlov, designed to double all death triggers and turn routine creature trades into lethal life swings. The strategy establishes early drain creatures like Blood Artist and Cruel Celebrant, deploys Teysa to amplify their output, and triggers mass life loss through sacrifice outlets and heavy board wipes. A dense suite of interaction and board sweepers, including Farewell, Toxic Deluge, and Damn, controls aggressive opponents while fueling the deck's own death triggers. High-end engines such as Bolas's Citadel, Grave Pact, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Elesh Norn, Grand Cenobite provide alternative paths to total board dominance and damage output. While the absence of fast mana and universal tutors keeps the deck firmly in fair turn bands, its immense functional redundancy, defensive fortifying, and resilient recovery make it a suffocating engine in mid-power multiplayer pods.
