Azula for fun by Benett

Format: Commander

Commander: Fire Lord Azula

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This is a Grixis spellslinger/copy deck helmed by Fire Lord Azula, built around one explosive interaction: attacking with Azula to bank firebending mana and double every spell cast during combat. The primary game plan is to deploy Azula, swing in, and use her copy trigger to turn a single burn spell, ritual, or combo piece into two - with Guttersnipe and Archmage Emeritus converting each copied spell into damage and cards. The deck's actual wins come from compact infinite loops living entirely in the 99: Twinflame + Dualcaster Mage for infinite hasty tokens, and Reiterate + Mana Geyser (or Blazing Firesinger // Seething Song) for infinite mana. A dense instant-speed interaction suite and flash enablers like Leyline of Anticipation and Valley Floodcaller let the deck operate almost entirely on opponents' turns, with Azula's combat copy as the force multiplier that turns incremental spells into a kill.
