Commander: The Ur-Dragon

Bracket: 4

Deck overview

This deck harnesses The Ur-Dragon to deploy high-impact Dragons ahead of curve using its eminence ability. The primary game plan focuses on rapid mana ramp into terrifying board states led by Miirym, Sentinel Wyrm, Terror of the Peaks, and Old Gnawbone. The deck closes out games through explosive aerial assaults, massive direct burn triggers from Dragon Tempest and Scourge of Valkas, or infinite combat steps via Aggravated Assault paired with Old Gnawbone. Extensive tutors like Tiamat and Dragonstorm assemble lethal combinations reliably, while resilient recursion and protective magic ensure the Dragon flight quickly overwhelms all opposing players.
