Deck overview

This Golgari deck harnesses The Mycotyrant to convert aggressive self-mill and permanent sacrifices into an overwhelming Fungus token army. By stocking the graveyard through efficient enablers like Hermit Druid, Stitcher's Supplier, and Mesmeric Orb, every descend trigger creates 1/1 Fungus tokens at the end step while growing the commander into a massive trample threat. The deck translates wide boards into mana velocity and immense card flow using Skullclamp, Insidious Roots, Enduring Vitality, and Six. Once a critical mass of Fungi and Saprolings is established, the deck pivots into decisive game-ending lines on Turn 6 using overrun finishers like Craterhoof Behemoth and Overwhelming Stampede, or direct table-wide life drain through Jarad, Golgari Lich Lord, Syr Konrad, the Grim, and Mirkwood Bats. While vulnerable to mass graveyard exile and sweepers, its dense recursion ensures rapid rebuilds.
