Deck overview

This deck is a high-velocity Rakdos Group Slug engine piloted by Valgavoth, Harrower of Souls. The strategy revolves around turning ordinary game actions into life-loss triggers on each opponent's turn using cheap, persistent permanents such as Underworld Dreams, Razorkin Needlehead, and Roiling Vortex. Valgavoth converts these incremental pings into +1/+1 counters and consistent net card draw across every opponent's turn cycle, generating up to three additional cards per table rotation. Backed by free protective interaction (Deflecting Swat, Deadly Rollick), the deck rapidly scales into asymmetric board suppression using Manabarbs and Spellshock, punishing opponents for casting answers. Finishing sequences leverage damage multipliers like Solphim, Mayhem Dominus and Twinflame Tyrant, sudden lethality through Heartless Hidetsugu, commander burst damage via Jeska, Thrice Reborn or Hatred, and mass board wipe closers like Chandra's Ignition to wipe the table clean by Turn 7.
