Deck overview

This Jeskai deck is led by Gandalf, Party Guest, focusing on legendary Wizard synergies and spellslinger mechanics. The deck develops a board of resilient legendary creatures such as Gandalf the Grey, Gandalf the White, and Saruman the White, supported by anthems like Flowering of the White Tree and haste from Rising of the Day. Once the commander enters combat, it cheats instant and sorcery spells directly from hand without paying mana costs, scaling with the number of legendary Wizards controlled. The deck grinds out card advantage using Palantír of Orthanc, Flame of Anor, and cantrips while protecting its board with flexible interaction like Reprieve and Unbreakable Formation. Victory is achieved by clearing opposing blockers with Raise the Palisade or Subjugate the Hobbits and swinging with an amplified board of legendary creatures alongside direct burn from Gandalf's Sanction and Gandalf the Grey.
