Deck overview

Sauron, the Dark Lord leads a Grixis wheel and reanimator deck built around discard burn and combat velocity. Sauron continually creates an Army, protects itself with a ward trigger, and wheel-refreshes your hand whenever an Army damages an opponent. Discard pingers turn every hand dump into direct table damage, while universal type-changers turn your entire team into Armies to guarantee Ring triggers. The primary win lines loop Curiosity, Ophidian Eye, or Tandem Lookout on discard damage engines like Brallin, Skyshark Rider and Glint-Horn Buccaneer, or reanimate overwhelming threats like Archon of Cruelty and Bladewing, Deathless Tyrant.
