Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Jund attrition strategy built around -1/-1 counters, creature suppression, and token swarms. Commanded by The Reaper, King No More, the deck leverages -1/-1 counter distribution to shrink opposing boards, generate overwhelming token armies via Hapatra, Vizier of Poisons and Nest of Scarabs, and steal dying opposing creatures through Necroskitter and the commander. Mana acceleration at 1–2 CMC ensures early deployment of core payoffs by Turn 3–4, while asymmetric threats such as Maha, Its Feathers Night, Kulrath Knight, and Carnifex Demon decisively lock down opponent combat and wipe boards on Turn 5. The deck converts this dominance into a win through unblockable combat damage and life-drain triggers from Obelisk Spider and Massacre Wurm. Robust card advantage engines keep the hand full, while independent 99-card packages ensure full operational power without commander reliance.
