Deck overview

This deck is a synergistic Golgari reanimator and aristocrats build helmed by Tom, Bert, and William. The game plan exploits massively undercosted, high-power creatures such as Rotting Regisaur, Kalakscion, Hunger Tyrant, and Slumbering Trudge as fuel for the commander's sacrifice ability. By paying just one mana, the deck turns disposable beaters into 6- to 7-card draw bursts, effortlessly filling both hand and graveyard. From this expanded grip, the deck deploys high-impact mana engines like Selvala, Heart of the Wilds and Skirge Familiar before casting game-ending spells such as Living Death or draining the table with Psychosis Crawler and Gray Merchant of Asphodel. The commander possesses exceptional natural resilience by returning to the battlefield as a non-creature artifact upon death, insulating the sacrifice outlet from conventional creature sweepers. Interaction is robust and versatile, relying on efficient Golgari staples to clear hate pieces while progressing toward a lethal Turn 6 finish.
