Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius pillowfort control deck designed to stall the game through defensive permanents, attack taxes, and targeted color hate before securing victory through high-mana inevitability. The early game focuses on developing mana rocks and laying down defensive layers like Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Crystal Barricade alongside a suite of Circle of Protection enchantments and Distorting Lens synergies. The deck controls the board using efficient spot removal, uncounterable sweepers like Supreme Verdict, and versatile countermagic. Its primary win condition is resolving Approach of the Second Sun on Turn 7, digging through the library with draw spells, and recasting it on Turn 9 to win the game on the spot. If this plan is disrupted, the deck can pivot to deploying its commander, Absolute Virtue, as an uncounterable 8/8 flying threat that grants complete protection from opponents, or resolving Enter the Infinite to close out the game with Thassa's Oracle.
