Deck overview

This Bant deck uses Kros, Defense Contractor to control the battlefield through political manipulation and forced combat. By placing shield, +1/+1, or utility counters on opposing creatures, Kros taps them down and goads them, giving them trample and forcing opponents to attack each other. Pillowfort cards such as Ghostly Prison, Propaganda, and Nils, Discipline Enforcer make attacking you costly or impossible. Meanwhile, card draw engines like Generous Patron and Verity Circle convert your counter placement and tapping abilities into massive card advantage. As opponents whittle down their own life totals through forced combat, the deck prepares to win by deploying Sin, Unending Cataclysm to harvest all board counters for a lethal strike, or by winning with Azor's Elocutors behind an unbreakable defensive wall.
