Deck overview

This Dimir control deck utilizes Etrata, the Silencer as an unblockable alternate-win condition. Under normal circumstances, Etrata's combat trigger forces her owner to shuffle her back into the library after exiling an opponent's creature with a hit counter. This deck bypasses that drawback by holding priority after the combat damage trigger and responding with cheap blink, bounce, or phasing spells like Essence Flux, Slip Out the Back, and Crystal Shard. The trigger resolves fully, placing a hit counter while Etrata remains safely on the battlefield or in hand. Nonlegendary clones like Spark Double and Sakashima of a Thousand Faces, combined with trigger multipliers like Roaming Throne and Strionic Resonator, drastically accelerate hit counter accumulation. Ramses, Assassin Lord serves as a decisive finisher, ending the game immediately when any single opponent is eliminated by an Assassin.
