BLECH! by Rudolphosv

Format: Commander

Commander: Blech, Loafing Pest

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Blech, Loafing Pest is a token-and-counter commander who turns every point of life gained into +1/+1 counters across Pests, Bats, Insects, Snakes, and Spiders. The deck pairs the commander with a dense web of lifegain triggers, cheap token producers, and recursive creatures, then finishes with a single explosive Root Manipulation combat. Professor Dellian Fel and Starscape Cleric provide alternate drain paths, while Iridescent Hornbeetle multiplies counters into more attackers. There is no infinite combo; the plan is incremental board development before a mass-pump turn. No hidden commander; Blech is the sole engine. Without Blech the deck still works as a modest midrange swarm, but its speed and board size drop sharply, so keeping the commander alive through the setup turns is essential.
