New Untitled Deck by Ixaiah

Format: Commander

Commander: Zaffai, Thunder Conductor

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Zaffai, Thunder Conductor pilots a high-variance Izzet big-spell deck: every instant or sorcery cast or copied scries, every 5+ mana spell makes a 4/4 Elemental, and every 10+ mana spell fires a 10-damage burn trigger. The 99 is built to maximize that payoff with copy effects (Swarm Intelligence, Pyromancer's Goggles, Dualcaster Mage, Naru Meha, Master Wizard, Rootha, Mercurial Artist), free-cast engines (Sunbird's Invocation, Mind's Desire, Epic Experiment, Creative Technique), and burst mana (Mana Geyser, Brass's Bounty, Apex of Power). The backup channel is combat: Talrand, Sky Summoner drakes, Metallurgic Summonings constructs, Rionya, Fire Dancer hasted copy-armies, and Surge to Victory pump turns. Importantly, Zaffai is one of several magecraft payoffs rather than the sole engine - if he is answered, the deck can pivot to Veyran/Talrand/Rionya value and still close games.
