Deck overview

This deck is an Esper aggro-control strategy led by Alela, Artful Provocateur. The primary game plan converts cheap artifacts and enchantments into an evasive army of flying Faerie tokens. By curving early mana rocks and utility permanents into a Turn 4 Alela, the deck quickly generates wide boards while establishing defensive layers with pillowfort cards like Propaganda, Ghostly Prison, and Blind Obedience. On Turn 6, the deck reaches critical onset by deploying major anthem effects such as Cathars' Crusade, Flowering of the White Tree, or Glen Elendra Liege, or by resolving a prowled Notorious Throng to surge token count. The deck closes the game on Turn 8 through multi-turn combat pressure and incremental drain from Obyra, Dreaming Duelist and Talion, the Kindly Lord. An efficient suite of low-cost interaction, including Dovin's Veto, Swords to Plowshares, and Aura of Silence, protects the board and disrupts opponents.
