Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This mono-black control deck is helmed by Maha, Its Feathers Night, whose ability sets all opposing creatures' base toughness to 1. The primary game plan is to leverage this effect with a dense suite of -1/-1 effects-both mass and single-target-to wipe the board efficiently, triggering a web of death-triggered drain effects (Blood Artist, Zulaport Cutthroat, Syr Konrad, the Grim) to bleed out all opponents. Secondary win conditions include Exsanguinate for a large life-drain, Grievous Wound combined with combat damage from Maha or an equipped creature, and the incremental value of The Darkness Crystal exiling creatures and later reanimating them. The deck is a slow, grindy control build that aims to control the board state and out-value opponents through repeated wipes and life-drain loops.
