Deck overview

Betor, Ancestor's Voice leads an Abzan midrange deck that synergizes life gain with intentional life loss to dominate the board. The primary game plan uses life-sinking enablers like Necropotence, Doom Whisperer, and K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth to stock the graveyard and lower life totals, triggering Betor to reanimate massive threats like Vilis, Broker of Blood and Valgavoth, Terror Eater for free. Concurrently, continuous life gain from Soul Warden, Celestine, the Living Saint, and lifelink attackers grows the army with +1/+1 counters via Archangel of Thune and Heliod, Sun-Crowned. The deck finishes games through overwhelming aerial combat or direct drain with Sanguine Bond.
