This deck is a mono-black life-payment and reanimation strategy commander by K'rrik, Son of Yawgmoth. The core plan uses K'rrik to convert black mana symbols into life payments at a rate of two life per pip, dramatically accelerating spell velocity. With K'rrik on the battlefield, the deck rapidly casts tutors like Buried Alive, Diabolic Tutor, and Final Parting to set up high-impact payoffs such as Gray Merchant of Asphodel, Bolas's Citadel, and Exsanguinate.
