Deck overview

This deck is a Grixis Midrange strategy piloted by Sauron, the Dark Lord, combining the Ring-tempting mechanic, Army token scaling, and high-impact reanimation. Early turns focus on accelerating mana via two-mana rocks and filling the graveyard with high-end beaters using cards like Faithless Looting and Consider. Deploying Sauron on turn 4 or 5 turns every opponent spell into board presence through amass triggers. Once Sauron and his Armies attack, Ring-bearer triggers allow discarding depleted hands to draw four fresh cards each combat, fueling further reanimation with Reanimate, Animate Dead, and Living Death. Backup pressure is provided by nine copies of Nazg÷l, Lord of the Nazg÷l, and Terror of the Peaks, which apply massive combat pressure and direct damage to close out the game around turn 8.
