Deck overview

Captain America, Team Leader commands a proactive Jeskai aggro deck centered on the Hero creature type and the modified mechanic. The strategy curves low-cost Heroes into early combat, using Captain America's ability to grant every entering Hero immediate haste, vigilance, and +1/+1 counters. This rapid tempo enables continuous card flow through combat triggers like Director Nick Fury, Araña, Heart of the Spider, and SP//dr, Piloted by Peni. As the board widens, the deck transitions from chip damage to lethal pressure using massive combat force multipliers such as War Machine, Avenging Arsenal, Avengers Assemble!, and Door of Destinies, alongside one-sided tempo blowouts like Raise the Palisade. The list maintains resilience through defensive Hero abilities like Captain America, Super-Soldier and flash indestructible effects, allowing it to rebuild rapidly after removal. While vulnerable to non-destroy board wipes and lacking stax locks, the deck delivers steady, compounding pressure that closes games efficiently through combat.
