Primal Genesis by Lorq

Commander: Ghired, Conclave Exile

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This is a focused Naya populate-and-lands deck helmed by Ghired, Conclave Exile. The primary plan is to cast Ghired on curve, turn his entering 4/4 Rhino token into a wide trampling army through attack-triggered populate, and finish with a single overwhelming combat turn. The deck layers classic populate roles-Determined Iteration, Growing Ranks, Wayfaring Temple-on top of a landfall package with Avenger of Zendikar, Rampaging Baloths, Omnath, Locus of Rage, and Felidar Retreat. It reliably finds lands and gas through Cultivate, Elemental Bond, Ohran Frostfang, and Baylen, the Haymaker. Finishers include Aurelia, the Warleader double combat, Beastmaster Ascension, Preposterous Proportions, and the incidental burn of Warstorm Surge. The deck is powerful when the table is unprepared for a 30+ token attack, but it does not run a compact combo line or a robust protection suite.
