Smaug Treasures by nonimo

Format: Commander

Commander: Smaug the Impenetrable

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Once Smaug the Impenetrable is on the battlefield, the deck turns any noncombat point of damage into a Treasure, and any opposing life total into zero. The main plan is to land Smaug and resolve Pestilence or Pyrohemia; one mana buys a ping, that ping creates a Treasure, and the Treasure buys the next ping, creating a loop that kills all opponents. Secondary paths win off density, not commander: Revel in Riches, Hellkite Tyrant, and Knuckles the Echidna are upkeep/sacrifice finishes, while Reckless Fireweaver, Mirkwood Bats, and damage reflectors like Brash Taunter convert the same tokens and triggers into burn. The commander is the engine and the damage sink; Brash Taunter is the hidden commander for the fallback redirection kill.
