Deck overview

Doctor Doom, King of Latveria leads a Grixis midrange deck focused on Villain tribal synergy, connive mechanics, and discard payoffs. The deck aims to deploy early ramp into Doctor Doom on Turn 4, immediately triggering connive at combat to filter cards, buff creatures, and drain opponents whenever land cards are discarded. In the mid-game, it compounds value through powerhouse engines like Iron Monger, Sadistic Tycoon, Ultron, Unlimited, and Archfiend of Ifnir, transforming card looting into token swarms, +1/+1 counters, and sweeping -1/-1 counters across opposing boards. Clone spells like Spark Double and Irenicus's Vile Duplication multiply these lethal triggers. The deck protects its board with efficient counterspells and mass phasing via Change of Plans, while packing high-impact board wipes such as Cyclonic Rift and Kindred Dominance to secure evasive combat victories.
