Y'shtola, Night's Blessed commands an Esper Spellslinger Control deck built around noncreature cast triggers, asymmetric taxing, and explosive poison finishes. The deck uses cost reducers like Baral, Chief of Compliance, Grand Arbiter Augustin IV, and Lyse Hext to discount 3-mana noncreature spells down to one or two mana. Every 3-mana noncreature spell triggers Y'shtola to deal 2 damage to each opponent and gain 2 life, easily satisfying her end-step card draw condition. The primary win condition turns this life drain into a lethal burst by granting Y'shtola infect via Phyresis, Glistening Oil, or Grafted Exoskeleton, allowing five noncreature spells to eliminate all three opponents simultaneously. Defensively, pillowfort enchantments like Propaganda and Ghostly Prison stall opposing creature attacks while a suite of 3-mana counterspells and removal—such as Unwind and Stroke of Midnight—simultaneously answers threats and advances the clock.
