Deck overview

Astor is the tutor-and-equip engine of a Boros Dwarf/Equipment deck. The primary plan is to cast Astor early, fetch a key Equipment, and use his equip discount to make a fast suited attacker. Secondary paths lean on the storied mechanic: Fili, Bifur, and Balin turn Dwarf entries into tokens, doubled triggers, and table-wide burn, while Goldlust Triad and Ironwill Forger offer a myriad finish. The commander himself is the voltron threat; his ETB search and equip {1} are the deck's main accelerants. No hidden commander exists in the 99; despite Livaan's Background text, no Background card is present, so the list remains Astor-centric.
