Deck overview

This Rakdos deck is an aggressive midrange clone engine led by Grub, Storied Matriarch // Grub, Notorious Auntie. The strategy revolves around deploying low-cost unblockability enablers like Goblin Tunneler and Sneaking Guide so Grub can safely attack without dying in combat. Once transformed into Grub, Notorious Auntie, attacking blights a creature on the battlefield to create a temporary, attacking token copy. The deck leverages this ability by copying devastating enters-the-battlefield threats such as Grave Titan, Archon of Cruelty, Massacre Wurm, and Gray Merchant of Asphodel, generating overwhelming board presence, hand disruption, and life drain each turn. A dense suite of low-mana rocks ensures rapid deployment, while a tailored package of instant-speed death-return spells like Fake Your Own Death and Return to Action safeguards key creatures from removal and re-triggers their powerful abilities. Without relying on infinite combos, the deck overwhelms opponents through snowballing combat pressure and resilient creature attrition.
