Format: Commander

Commander: Sarulf, Realm Eater

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

This Golgari deck pilots Sarulf, Realm Eater as a board-control commander that grows from opponents' permanents dying and then exiles all nonland permanents with low mana value. The primary game plan is to deploy Sarulf early, use a dense suite of sacrifice effects and spot removal to feed it +1/+1 counters, then wipe the board of small threats on upkeep. The deck wins through commander damage, pumping Sarulf with spells like Berserk and Invigorate or equipping it with Basilisk Collar and Shadowspear. Secondary finishers include End-Raze Forerunners and Overwhelming Stampede. The deck lacks infinite combos and relies on incremental advantage and a heavy removal package to control the table.
