The Unbearable Weight of Mairsil's Activated Abilities by mysterygrl

Format: Commander

Bracket: 3

Deck overview

Grixis combo-control built around Mairsil, the Pretender as a one-card engine. The deck cages artifact and creature pieces to turn Mairsil into a reusable activated-ability toolbox, with Marvin, Murderous Mimic as the hidden combo partner: he copies every caged ability and bypasses Mairsil's once-per-turn clause. A cage set of Gilded Lotus, Horseshoe Crab, and Spikeshot Elder becomes infinite mana and infinite damage. Secondary paths include controlling the board with caged removal and pinging outlets, recursion via blink effects, and a Stuffy Doll/Tree of Perdition/Blasphemous Act burst. The commander is indispensable; without Mairsil, the deck has no coherent win condition.
