Deck overview

Malcolm, Alluring Scoundrel commands a high-synergy mono-blue tempo and cost-cheating strategy. The primary game plan revolves around deploying Malcolm on Turn 2 and attacking unhindered across consecutive turns to build chorus counters while filtering through the deck via loot triggers. Upon reaching four chorus counters on Turn 6, Malcolm converts combat connections into free casts of devastating top-end payoffs, including extra-turn sorceries like Time Stretch and Expropriate, game-ending Eldrazi titans such as Ulamog, the Infinite Gyre and It That Betrays, and oppressive Praetors like Jin-Gitaxias, Core Augur. Supporting pieces like Lightning Greaves, Swiftfoot Boots, and Ripples of Potential protect Malcolm from removal, while The Ozolith safeguards accumulated counters. The deck disrupts opposing threats using efficient removal like Pongify and countermagic such as Force of Negation and Mana Drain. Once an extra turn or massive bomb resolves, the deck cascades into overwhelming combat and annihilator pressure to close the game on Turn 7.
