Budget Mairsil EDH by ICGoodness

Format: Commander

Commander: Mairsil, the Pretender

Bracket: 2

Deck overview

Mairsil, the Pretender is a graveyard-fueled activated-ability combo deck. The primary plan is to fill the graveyard with looting, cast Mairsil, and cage key creatures so he gains their abilities. Cavern Harpy and flicker effects reset Mairsil to cage additional pieces. The main win is Tree of Perdition setting an opponent to 4 life, then Spikeshot Elder's ability dealing 4 damage through Mairsil. Secondary paths use Mairsil's unblockable and pump abilities for commander damage, plus control elements like Ovinomancer and Mercurial Chemister. Taskmaster, Mercenary Mimic acts as a hidden backup by copying Mairsil. The deck is commander-centric and vulnerable to graveyard hate.
