Deck overview

This Mardu aggressive deck is led by Tsagan, Raider Warlord, an explosive commander that leverages the 'Start your engines!' speed mechanic and first strike synergy. The deck establishes early board presence using efficient first-strike creatures like Battlefield Raptor and Swiftblade Vindicator alongside rapid token generators such as Adeline, Resplendent Cathar and Anim Pakal, Thousandth Moon. When Tsagan attacks, it grants a massive power boost scaling with the number of first strike and double strike creatures you control, reaching Max Speed to grant universal first strike and deathtouch. Supported by card engines like Tymna the Weaver and Skullclamp, the list maintains steady resource velocity while deploying robust protection like Clever Concealment and Boros Charm to shield its lethal board states.
