Deck overview

This deck is an Azorius Voltron tempo strategy built around Lyse Hext. The primary game plan accelerates into the commander on turn three, then leverages her noncreature spell cost reduction to cast multiple cheap Auras and cantrips each turn. Casting two noncreature spells unlocks double strike, converting prowess boosts and stat-granting enchantments into rapid commander damage kills. The deck maintains high card velocity through combat-damage draw engines such as Curiosity and Staggering Insight, which trigger twice per attack due to double strike. A hyper-dense suite of one-mana protection spells and flash Auras, including Blacksmith's Skill and Starlit Mantle, shields the commander from targeted removal and sweepers. Asymmetric board wipes like Winds of Rath clear blockers while preserving enchanted threats. While vulnerable to edict effects and sequential combat delays, the deck establishes lethal single-target pressure starting on turn five and systematically eliminates the table over two subsequent response cycles.
