Deck overview

This deck is a Rakdos midrange Dragon and Treasure aristocrat strategy commanded by Smaug, Wicked Worm. It accelerates mana in the early game using artifact ramp and Treasure generators to deploy Smaug by Turn 4 or 5. When Smaug enters the battlefield, it scales with opponents' artifacts to provide immediate Treasure reserves. As Treasure mana is spent, Smaug offsets resource loss by drawing cards. The deck transitions into the late game by deploying heavy Dragon payoffs such as Utvara Hellkite and Lathliss, Dragon Queen, or by converting Treasure sacrifices into direct life drain with Mirkwood Bats, Marionette Apprentice, and Mayhem Devil.
