Deck overview

Vega, the Watcher helms an Azorius control deck engineered around casting spells from outside the hand to generate continuous card advantage. By leveraging mechanics such as foretell, warp, plot, suspend, and flashback, the deck safely stages spells in exile to trigger Vega upon resolution. Early turns focus on mana deployment and foretelling key interaction or card-draw spells. Once Vega enters, every non-hand cast replenishes resources, keeping hands full while maintaining a grip on the board through sweepers like Supreme Verdict, Farewell, and Doomskar. The primary route to victory is resolving Approach of the Second Sun, quickly redrawing it through Vega's engine, and casting it a second time to win. Alternatively, the deck can generate overwhelming aerial pressure with token producers like Ranar the Ever-Watchful, Talrand, Sky Summoner, and Murmuring Mystic. With robust stack interaction, defensive phase-outs, and flexible removal, the deck excels at dictating game tempo.
